Empire: Total War - A Trailer to cheer the Navy

Seems I'm back from my ultra-short though truly invigorating vacations and here's a lovely trailer about the forthcoming Empire: Total War strategy game to dampen the collective post-summer pain. The game should hit Europe the 6th of February 2009, feature some pretty impressive sea battles, impressive graphics and some intriguing references to the 1st French Revolution. Sounds lovely, doesn't it? Find out more over at TotalWar.com and then, well, why not, have a look at my review of Medieval II: Total War.

  1. You're not the first person I've heard recommending this series. Complex, accurate and accessible, people say.

I'm not doing good games at the moment, though. I don't have enough time. :-P

  3. Beautiful!
Too bad my computer can't handle any current gen games... :(

Since my office is at home and I do most painting on the computer, It might be best to keep these games away from my computers... It would be toooo tempting to fire one up and push my work aside.

.... I would sooo love to play some of these massive RPG's on the pc's. They would take me over tho.

  4. Well, it seems a second games only PC is the only acceptable solution dear Deitrix. After all, I'm pretty sure that a 600$ PC should be able to handle Total War nicely.

  5. I think I'm going to pass on this one, I'm more into Medieval and also Rome, to some extent. The recreations of the battles are just sublime, far above any other RTS I've ever seen.

Oh, and glad to see you enjoyed your vacation. Better short but good than long but stressful or boring.

  6. Got to agree there dear Nebachadnezzar. Medieval II especially is the best RTS I can remember, while also being a brilliant turn-based game too. Somehow though, I'm more than excited about those shiny new naval battles...

As for them vacations... too short I'm afraid, but, yes, better short and sweet than long and dragging, though I've never really experienced long and dragging ones. Only long fantastic ones :D
